Bill Foley and the Foley Entertainment Group are excited to bring Isuzu A-League football action back to Auckland. With a dedication to winning, this new club will join a sporting family of excellence along side AFC Bournemouth of the English Premier League and the defending Stanley Cup Champion Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League.

The men's club will be joining the Isuzu A-League at the beginning of the 2024-25 season with the women's team joining them for the 2025-26 season.

Bill Foley

William P. Foley, II (“Bill”) is the general partner and visionary of a global multi club football operator that owns 100% of AFC Bournemouth of the English Premier League and a significant minority interest in FC Lorient of France’s Ligue 1. Foley is the majority owner of the 2023 Stanley Cup Champion Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League where he led the expansion franchise into Las Vegas in 2017. Foley oversaw the development of the commercial and technical aspects of the team and also developed required team infrastructure, which included two community ice hockey facilities and one 17,367 seat arena located right on the world famous Las Vegas Strip. The Vegas Golden Knights made the playoffs in five of their first six seasons and won the league championship within six years of being established. “Cup in Six,” just as he famously predicted back in 2017.

Foley owns multiple businesses in New Zealand including Foley Family Wines, a public company listed on the NZ stock exchange, a restaurant group which includes Soul Bar in Auckland, Wharekauhau Lodge, and other hospitality and consumer assets including restaurants and/or wineries in Queenstown, Bannockburn, Blenheim, Martinborough as well as Auckland. He and his family have been frequent visitors of New Zealand for decades and own a home in Palliser Bay.

Foley oversees multiple public companies in the US including: Founder and Chairman of Fidelity National Financial (NYSE: FNF), Chairman of Alight, Inc (NYSE: ALIT), Chairman of Cannae Holdings (NYSE: CNNE), and Chairman of Dun & Bradstreet (NYSE: DNB).

Every penny donated goes toward scholarships for those Gold Star families, totaling more than $14 million for 2,500 scholarships in less than 10 years. The Vegas Golden Knights Foundation supports exemplary Las Vegas non-profit organizations that make a positive impact in the local community, and has donated more than $10 million to more than 200 local charities since its inception in 2017. The foundation’s efforts focus on five pillars: youth sports, health and wellness, education, first responders and veterans, and hunger and homelessness.

Nick Becker

CEO

Nick Becker is an international sports executive with more than two decades of major event, entertainment and marketing experience across large scale iconic global sports groups and brands including Manchester City FC, Melbourne City FC, Arsenal FC, Telefonica o2UK, Nike and Puma.

Nick joins BKFG from a successful consultancy business with clients across sports, agencies and tech start ups. Before that, Nick led Marketing and Operations for Melbourne City FC, having joined the A-Leagues in 2015 from Manchester City in the English Premier League where he led the transformation of the game-day marketing, content, commercial and event experience.

Nick is a native New Zealander and returns to his hometown of Auckland having spent many years living in Australia and the United Kingdom.

Thanks to the vision and leadership of Bill Foley, Auckland will have its own top flight football club competing in the Isuzu Mens A-Leagues for the 2024-25 season.
